Formerly known as "I'm a Hoe" but times and people change. It was a fun and productive metaphor that I enjoyed extending too far. Now it is done. The tool shed is retired, but the vicious momma is still here. I will be making adjustments to this blog as time allows.

Another from the Nostalgia Series
I have no idea who these people were, but they apparently were important enough to warrant a photo saved with all the family photos. I love the old signs in the background. I think this was taken in Detroit, MI, sometime in the 1940s.
Got lots of old photos like that...well, not quite like that; they have MY relatives in them.
Very cool stuff! People were so proud to have their pix printed back then...used to print them as post cards so they could be mailed...very common in early 1900's.
sierrabella, yeah, I cropped it and added the color and watercolor effects. I can't just leave things alone. lol
mr g, yeah, a lot the old ones I've got are made as post cards. Some were even sent through the mail with really cool old stamps.
madman, most of them do have the names or at least the year on the back, but this one didn't.
suzie, I love nostalgic stuff like this, snapshots from another time. These people are immortalized here even though we don't know who they are. They look happy though.

cool pic. my mom has been going through old pictures from her mom and cousin and trying to label what she could for me and my kids.
kat, that's really cool. I've had to ask my dad to help me label some too.
