Wanderlust

Maybe it's this perpetual Spring that we are having this season, but man, I'm getting the wanderlust pretty bad. My eyes are longing for some new kind of scenery. Where should I go?

I know you're a skater. Perhaps a trip to some winter-like clime, for example the Rockies or the Sierra Nevada for a taste of the season you're seeming to miss. If you don't already ski, a half-day lesson is enough to get you down the easier slopes. And it's hard to beat hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps in the lodge afterwards. Or during or before, for that matter.

You could always do like me and opt to go crazy. It's way easier to pack for!

dh, that sounds like fun. I've skied once, a long time ago. Not sure if I can afford a ski trip though... Might have to have cup of hot chocolate and pretend! lol

rainypete, yeah, I just took that particular trip a couple of months ago! lol Sorry to hear you've suffered the same journey. This time I'm hoping for something more pleasant than the recesses of my own twisted brain. ;-)

Stay where you are. Wish I was in America! France or Spain are the best places in Europe to chill out in the Spring.

How about Vail, Colorado? Or Yosemite? Or Chicago?

Ever been to Death Valley? Quite a scenery. I'd guess Yosemite isn't so much fun in January. Part is closed, and hiking on many trails just isn't possible.
