On a lighter note...

I set my 6 year old daughter loose with my cheapo digicam and the instructions to take some pictures of our yard and flowers. Here is what she did. I find her perspective refreshing.

Day Lilies:

Tomatoes:

Butterfly bush gone wild and hiding back deck:

Jasmine vine planted in old chair that was missing its seat (on back deck):

Water lily growing in large bowl (I might have taken this one):

That's just a few of them. I'm working on some bigger posts but wanted to share a little beauty today.

I used to let my kids use my camera and they came up with some incredible pictures, as your daughter did. Beautiful!
Love your house, or is it a large cabin?

princess, thanks! Yeah, she's starting first grade next month.

sierrabella, thanks, too! It's a country style ranch house. The front has a covered porch all the way across.

Great shots! Is the water lily hard to take care of? I just had a little pond put in and I need something to make it pretty.

kat, water lilies are really easy. I just got one at Walmart. It started growing just a few days after I put it in the water. It has only bloomed that once though.

Those pictures look better than those taken by a lot of adults.

Great pix; your daughter has an eye! The place looks great! Looks like your kids have lots of room to roam!

gina, thanks! this truly is our dream home.

hermes and mr g, thanks! I'm letting her use my camera more and I might even let her have it. Yeah, the kids have lots of space. My next thing is lobbying to put in a pool. That's the only thing we still need.

Gardening and Flowers are one of my very favorite things to do and enjoy. Thanks again. She did a FANTASTIC JOB with the camera!
