There's a blog I read that pushes my ability to comprehend things sometimes. But today there's a post that really hits home for me. If you are concerned about education and the strange direction that it seems to be taking in many subjects, especially math, then you might appreciate this one:
Math Wars
And for a great piece of political satire, try this:
Letter to France
And one of the funniest things I've EVER seen! Tayster always finds the funniest stuff:
I LOVE William Shatner
And another from tayster's world (this one is perfect for this blog):
What's a Hoe?
It seems many of the bloggers I regularly read are really busy lately. I am too. I'm repainting my living room, finally.
Oh, and a little update on the doctor's office and collections issue. I had decided to go ahead and send the stupid $49.50 check to the collection agency and just forget the whole thing. Well, yesterday it came back in the mail with a note that the doctor's office had requested that the account be closed and any further contact should be directly with them instead of the collection agency. Maybe I should take them off my shit list now? (the 'Bad Seeds, Noxious Weeds, and Pitch Forks' list on the sidebar) Either way, I'm not doing business with them again.

Hey Rae Ann:
Thx for placing me on your blog roll! These sites are so interesting! I gotta bookmark a couple of them, the physics guy seems cool!
The Shatner link was hilarious. It says something about him that he's not afraid to make fun of himself.
Eddie's piece on France was good, too. Of course, it helps that I feel much the same as he does. In the immortal words of famed philosopher Mike Tyson, the french are a bunch of "scared cowards."
And the jeopardy link...the first guy was right. They should have given him credit.
Thanks for the fun this morning.
mahndisa, you're very welcome. I'm glad I found your blog.
dh, are you saying I'm an immoral pleasure seeker? ;-) I've always liked Shatner. He really does have a sense of humor about himself. And I think he looks kind of like my dad. You're welcome for the fun anytime.
OH NO!! I use the same OB/GYN! I love Dr. Leisy. She delivered my littlest one! She's so sweet! Although, come to think of it, the women in the front office were always a bunch of twits. Could this be a case of good doctors with bad office management? Or maybe we didn't use the same office. Don't they have a downtown branch? I use the one at Parkwest.
Loved that math wars post...I can go off on that stuff for days at at a time!
Oh, and Hammett, thanks for the link to the other database sites the other day...worked great!
Good luck with that bill!
kat, Dr. McCollum was my primary doctor. I loved him, but I just can't tolerate their business office and their attitude and practices. I've been going to Parkwest too for the last several years. I think it is one of those situations of good doctors with bad office staff.
mr g, I'm glad you liked it. I get worked up over that stuff too.
sylvana, thanks! I think it's taken care of now.
midwest hick, I'm honored! lol
Enjoyed the links....(smiling)
