I'm Dreaming of a White Easter

It's snowing (flurries) here. For those who want to use this as evidence of some catastrophic climate change, I'd like to remind them that almost exactly twenty years ago it snowed in April with a significant accumulation (7-10 inches).

Update, 4-7-07:

It's freezing cold here. No snow, but there might as well be. Ugh.

Dear Rae Ann,

Visiting Nashville in 1994 every american in Spain told me in advance 'oh, nice weather, is down south you know?". A Madrid Miami flight. Beautiful weather in Miami. Then Miami Nashville. I rented a car at the airport. I almost could not find the car. Heavy snow :-)

Thought for a minute that flower pot was an embroidery hoop. Hi, Rae, glad to see you feelin' a little better. Yeah, no snow but it is nippy down here in coastal northeastern South Carolina too. I like it. Helps me to forget about the five months of suffocating heat and humidity ahead.

You take care of yourself, heah?...

eatmisery, sorry to hear that it's so cold there. I hope you'll be able to enjoy some Easter fun anyway!

rafa, yes, occasionally we do get a big snow, and sometimes Nashville gets more than we do because of the way the storm fronts interact with the geography of the state. Our area is mostly protected from the most severe weather, though it does get through sometimes. Have a nice Easter.

bg, thanks for stopping by. I'm taking it one day at a time. Some days are okay and some aren't. A complicating matter is that my 6 year old is very ill with mononucleosis. It's heartwrenching to see a normally very active and happy child just lie around and be miserable and know that there isn't much we can do for him. When it rains, it pours... have a nice Easter.
